There was a lot of great work coming out of the PLAY weekend. In fact at times it was all I could do to keep my fanny in my seat for all the juicy goodness going on around me. I just wanted to jump up and cruise around the room looking at everybody else's wonderful creativity spilling forth.
Quiet pages…
…energetic pages…
…vivid and playful pages.
Tracy taught his relic journal and covers were constructed with sculpey and then painted and sewn together.
This tome will certainly hold many marvelous stories!
I haven't worked with sculpey but am intrigued with it's endless sculptural qualities.
Teesha and Tracy's talented daughter Tiphoni (recent RISD graduate) taught watercolor self portraits.
These lovely faces the result. So much talent in one room!
I love this dog watercolor portrait too. Wonderful inspiration from a really joyous group of fellow artists! Thank you for sharing yourselves.
Looks like the Create-a-ratti were out in full force.
That dog portrait rocks the house!
I’m also impressed that everyone was open to having their books photographed.
Yeah for Play!
Thanks for sharing with us. How great it must have been to have so much uninterrupted time to play!!
Hi Fran, I was just writing to tell you how much I enjoyed your PLAY entries. I sat at the table across the way. It never ends how many different projects and ideas come out of these events. I want to PLAY more, work less. Hopefully we’ll all-and more-be at Play in 2011.

Hi Fran-oh I SO missed not going to PLAY this year. Thanks for sharing your story and photos so I could get a little breath of that creative air. Your journals are so visually full & rich-really fun stuff! I hope life is treating you well!
